Jay Jacobs2025-01-30 Ross at Physifix initially met me for a consultation as I had a little bit more than a niggle in my left calf and could not find any relief from it - he assessed the situation and had gave the calf an in depth look by comparing with my other calf. After a bit of sports massage (which helped a lot) he then discussed in detail the course of action he would want to proceed with and let me know why which I found very helpful and helped me to understand the exact process that we were going through. I have been back a few times specifically for this initial injury I had (which has now gone) and visit him at least once a month for the MOT service. My body has never felt better and I’ve never ran this kind of volume - largely thanks to Ross at Physifix! Scott Davidson2025-01-27 I injured my back mid 2024 which resulted in severe sciatic pain running from my lower back through my left leg and down to my ankle. Whilst I’ve had injuries in the past, this was the first time I felt concerned about an issue which was regularly painful and I also struggled with things like getting into a comfortable position to sleep or having sensitivity / numbness in my left foot. I decided that I needed help with managing this sooner rather than later so after being recommend to Physifix, I booked a consultation with Ross. During the initial consultation, he tested such things as my strength, flexibility and balance, comparing both sides of my legs / back and diagnosing what may be an issue and advising of exercises which would be beneficial to help improve the management of pain and strengthen of posterior chain muscles groups (these exercises would be sent to me and updated if necessary, for example, if any were causing me pain or if I had to regress / progress any exercise). I also had acupuncture for the first time so didn’t know what to expect. However, I immediately felt that there a lot less pain in my left leg / glute upon finishing the session and this improved my pain management definitely for a good few days after the initial appointment and has continued to be a staple of my recovery. I have continued attending a physio session with Ross since and with his massage / acupuncture, exercises (and more recently, cupping therapy), my sciatic pain has went from a 9-10 to 1-2 and fortunately, whilst I am always aware of it, the pain has subsided tremendously and I am back to a position of regular cardio and weight training to a level i feel I haven't been at for a good few years. I now plan to continue looking after myself and attending Physifix every 6-8 weeks to maintain my effort levels and give my muscles some TLC. Really recommend Physifix if you are struggling with a niggling / major injury and need that help sooner than later. I had intense pain in my upper back that was affecting my sleep and my day to day activities. From the first session, Ross talked me through the problem, clearly explaining the issue and the steps we could take to address it.
